About

Hello and Welcome to Eat-O-Live. My name is Sandy and would like to share my blog which is all about cooking simple and healthy foods, with easy to follow recipes that don’t take a lot of time to prepare (some do but totally worth it). I will also share a few of my interests in travel.

I am an American from Syrian origin. I was living in a small town in the mountains of Syria and always wanted to travel around and see other places. Two of my dream destinations were Las Vegas (I know) and Italy.

Cooking is one of my interests. I learned how to cook from my mother.

I moved to Dubai when I was 21 years old. My life style requires me to travel and move every few years and that made me learn how to cook different international cuisines from Arabic, Italian, French, Mexican and Thai.

Plus, I will be having a section related to feeding a baby home-made food for his/her first year. A healthy start for a better life.

Are you still in Dubai? Aiden is very cute!

I am in Doha – Qatar right now. We move every few years.

It must be very exciting! Are you planning on homeschooling Aiden? It seems to early to consider this, though. In the meantime, just enjoy your time with him! Now that my eldest is 21 and my youngest 16, I miss the days when they were babies. Of course, having grown-up children has a plus side to it. They help with the housework and carrying the heavy suitcases when we travel.

I am planning to let him go to an international school so he learns different cultures and languages 🙂

      • jimmyandcha says:

That’s a great idea! So what will be his mother tongue? I chose to speak English to my kids and had them learn Mandarin in school. That way it was easy for them to speak two languages right away. They are learning Japanese right now.

It will be English and i will teach him Arabic with school help.
